In 2017, the YMCA Sports Center employed two people to hand out towels to its members; however, there was no way to control how many towels each person took or ensure that the towels were returned at the end of each workout session. YMCA management needed to find a way to reduce manual tasks, save on towel costs, and turn towels into a profit center.
